Qld: Bligh confident new health agreement will be an improvement

BRISBANE, Feb 26 AAP - Queensland Premier Anna Bligh says she is confident the new
commonwealth-state health agreement will strike the right balance for the states.

A newly-created health and hospital reform commission, announced yesterday, will be
asked to provide "very early" advice on the agreement by late April.

Ms Bligh said she expected some argy-bargy while the agreement was negotiated.

"I'm absolutely confident that the new agreement, while it may not satisfy every party
in all parts, will be a significant improvement …
