Olympics: Bolt must show more respect for his rivals, says Rogge
Jamaican sprint superstar USAIN BOLT should show more respect for his rivals says IOC
President JACQUES ROGGE.
The Jamaican, who celebrates his 22nd birthday today, has set the track alight with
his world record-breaking performances in winning the 100m and 200m Olympic titles in
Beijing.
ROGGE says BOLT is in another dimension as a runner, but also says he needs to mature.
ROGGE says he should be shaking hands with his rivals after the finish to show more
of the spirit of the Olympic ideal.
BOLT, who by winning the 200m last night became the first sprinter since Carl Lewis
in 1984 to achieve the sprint Olympic double, will be in line for a third gold medal with
the 4x100m relay team that begins its campaign tomorrow.
